BusinessMirror
One of the Philippines’ leading business papers, BusinessMirror was founded in 2005 by late businessman Antonio Cabangon-Chua.
The paper has a tabloid counterpart, Pilipino Mirror, written in Taglish or a combination of Tagalog or Pilipino and English. It also publishes online at businessmirror.com.ph.
In 2014, the paper entered into a content-sharing partnership with media giant ABS-CBN, which published the paper’s content in print, online and television.
Cabangon-Chua, who had a brief stint as Philippine ambassador to Laos from 2011 to 2015, owns 64 percent of Philippine Business Daily Mirror, Inc., the company that runs the paper. Meanwhile, publisher T. Anthony Cabangon, owns 7 percent while holding company Two Arja-AHI Corporation has 29 percent shares.
Aside from BusinessMirror, Cabangon-Chua also has shares in media companies Solar Entertainment Corporation and Aliw Broadcasting Corporation. His other business interests include real estate and insurance.
